Hickory Man Jailed on Forgery-Related Charges
29-year-old Jordan Shane Fredericks of Flint Hill Drive in Hickory has been arrested by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers on two counts each of obtaining property by false pretenses, uttering a forged instrument, felony probation violations, and drug recovery court violations. The case dates back to last year. Fredericks is on probation as he serves a 24-month suspended sentence following a December 2022 conviction in Catawba County on multiple counts of obtaining property by false pretenses and uttering a forged instrument, along with a single felony count of possession of a schedule II controlled substance.
Fredericks was jailed today (August 29) in the Catawba County Detention Facility with no bond listed. An appearance in Superior Court is coming up this Thursday (August 31) in Newton.
