31-year-old Bobby Daniel Hammons of Cape Hickory Road in Hickory was arrested Wednesday (February 1) on charges filed by the Conover Police Department and Catawba County Sheriff’s Office. Hammons is charged with by Conover Police with possession of methamphetamine, resisting a public officer, and shoplifting with concealment of goods. The Sheriff’s Office charged Hammons with possession of drug paraphernalia. He was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $28,500 bond. District Court dates are scheduled for February 13 and February 17, a Superior Court appearance is set for February 20.
