Hickory Man Held Without Bond for Felony Probation Violation

25-year-old Meguel Greylen Robinson of 1st Avenue Place S.W. in Hickory was arrested by Hickory Police at about 5:40 p.m. yesterday for a felony probation violation. He is on probation as he serves a 30-month suspended sentence following a March 2019 felony conviction in Catawba County for malicious conduct by a prisoner and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Robinson was taken into custody without incident at an apartment on 11th Avenue Drive S.E. in Hickory. He was placed in the Catawba Co. Detention Facility where he is being held without bond. A first appearance in District Court was set for Monday (August 10) in Newton.
