34-year-old Robert Leon Green, Jr. of 2nd Avenue S.W. in Hickory was arrested by Hickory Police last Friday (August 11) on an outstanding felony warrant. Green was charged with felony failure to appear on a count of possession of methamphetamine, plus two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was taken into custody without incident shortly before 7 p.m. Friday at a fast-food restaurant on Highway 70 S.W. in Hickory. Green was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility with bond set at $100,000, secured. He remained in jail as of this afternoon (August 16). An appearance in Superior Court was scheduled for September 18 in Newton.
