Hickory Man Facing Charges In Two Counties, Jailed In Alexander County

33-year-old Darvis James Stacy of Hickory was arrested last Thursday (December 2) by Alexander County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with failure to appear in Catawba County. Stacy allegedly failed to appear on counts of possession of a firearm by a felon and driving while license revoked. Those charges were filed by Hickory Police in September. Stacy was charged later in September with felony assault inflicting serious bodily injury and misdemeanor assault with a minor present in Alexander County.

Stacy was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center under $13,000 secured bond. He remained in jail as of earlier today (December 6). Stacy has a District Court appearance scheduled in Catawba County this Friday (December 10). A District Court date is set for next Monday (December 13) in Taylorsville.
