A Hickory man was arrested Tuesday (June 23) on felony drug and firearm charges.

According to the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office, 23-year-old Deyshaun Lanarr Hargrove of 1st Street Southeast in Hickory was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance.

Hargrove (pictured) was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under a $10,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to make his first court appearance in Newton District Court on June 29.

The arrest was made by the Hickory Police Department.
