28-year-old Jovany Luna Lezama of N.E. Highland Avenue in Hickory has been arrested by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers on two counts of trafficking in opium or heroin and single counts of driving while impaired, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, driving while license revoked, assault on a female, and possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver a schedule II controlled substance.

Lezama was jailed early this morning (May 19) in the Catawba County Detention Facility with bond set at $103,000. A first appearance in District Court was scheduled today in Newton.
