25-year-old Jalen Jakee Witherspoon of 15th Street SE in Hickory was arrested Tuesday (January 3) by Hickory Police Officers. He’s charged with felony assault by strangulation along with misdemeanor counts of battery of an unborn child and assault on a female. Witherspoon was incarcerated in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $500,000 bond. A District Court date was scheduled today (January 4).
