Hickory Man Charged With Larceny, Possessing Stolen Goods (Updated, 4:15 a.m., 1/5/22)

32-year-old Stephen Wayne Bryden who is listed as a homeless person from Hickory was arrested Tuesday (January 4) by Hickory Police Officers. He’s charged with felony counts of larceny of motor vehicle parts and possession of stolen goods. Initial reports of the suspect’s arrest showed the larceny charge as larceny of a motor vehicle, court records today (January 5) showing the updated charge. Bryden was jailed Tuesday morning in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $12,000 bond. He was scheduled to appear in District Court Tuesday.
