56-year-old Victor Arnell Johnson of 20th Avenue N.E. in Hickory has been arrested by Hickory Police on charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon and injury to personal property. The Department of Probation & Parole also charged Johnson with a parole violation. He was paroled in June of this year following a January 2017 conviction in Lee County for robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Johnson was jailed today (September 7) in the Catawba County Detention Facility with bond set at $30,000. A first appearance in District Court was scheduled today in Newton. A court date on the parole violation is coming up on September 13.
