30-year-old Montavious Quamae Sims of Spencer Lane Road in Hickory was arrested by Hickory Police today (May 19) on charges of reckless driving to endanger, resisting a public officer, and two counts of assault on a government official or employee. He was also charged with failure to appear on simple assault and second-degree trespassing charges. Sims was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility with bond set at $24,000. District Court appearances were scheduled for May 22, June 7, and July 6 in Newton.
