50-year-old Brian Curtis Leitmeyer of 2nd Street S.E. in Hickory was arrested by Hickory Police at about eight o’clock last night (August 2) on one felony count of possession of a schedule II controlled substance. Leitmeyer was taken into custody without incident at a business address on 4th Street S.W. in Hickory. He was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility with bond set at $1,500, secured. As of this afternoon, he was no longer listed as an inmate in Catawba County. A first appearance in District Court was scheduled today in Newton.
