A Hickory man is facing multiple felony drug charges following his arrest by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office.

According to arrest records, 33-year-old Malik Maynard of 14th Street Place Northwest was arrested June 12 and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, trafficking in opium or heroin, trafficking in cocaine, maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for controlled substances, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver cocaine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver fentanyl, and possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance.

Maynard was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under a $3.5 million secured bond. He was scheduled to make a Monday (June 15) District Court appearance.
