23-year-old Chandler Montgomery Jackson of N.C. 127 South in Hickory was arrested Sunday (July 23) by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with felony counts of possession of controlled substance on prison or jail premises and possession of schedule II controlled substance along with misdemeanor counts of simple possession of schedule IV controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jackson was incarcerated in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $40,000 bond. A District Court date was scheduled today, a Superior Court appearance is set for August 21.
