41-year-old Christopher Douglas Cook of 14th Avenue SE in Hickory was arrested by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle and resisting a public officer with serious bodily injury.

The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office attempted to deploy a set of stop sticks during a pursuit that began on Houston Mill Road at approximately 5 p.m. Monday (July 17). The pursuit ended with a crash on Springs Road near the Rifle Range Road intersection.

Cook was incarcerated in the Catawba County Detention Facility this morning (July 18) under $10,000 bond. A District Court appearance was scheduled today.
