Hickory Man Charged with Firing Weapon into Occupied Property

23-year-old Ontorio Nymier Metts of 3rd Street S.E. in Hickory was arrested by Hickory Police Wednesday afternoon (October 27) on two felony counts of discharging a firearm into occupied property. Police say Metts fired a weapon at a victim.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident at about 12:25 p.m. Wednesday at an address on South Center Street in Hickory. Metts was processed at the Hickory Police Department and later released under a $20,000 unsecured bond. A first appearance in District Court was scheduled yesterday (October 28) in Newton.
