30-year-old Michael Victor Ward of 10th Avenue NE in Hickory was arrested Wednesday (July 1) by Hickory Police Officers. He’s charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ward is a felon as a result of multiple convictions in Iredell and Catawba Counties dating back to 2022. Following the arrest, Ward was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under no bond. A Superior Court date was scheduled for July 6.
