A man is facing multiple charges following his arrest by the Hickory Police Department.

42-year-old Jakeco Lee Johnson of 8th Street Place Southeast was arrested today (July 23). He is charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, assault by pointing a gun, and going armed to the terror of the people.

Johnson is a felon as a result of a conviction on multiple charges in Catawba County in 2014. He was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under a $25,000 secured bond. He was scheduled to make a Thursday appearance in Catawba County District Court.
