38-year-old Derik Eugene Lackey of 8th Avenue Drive SW in Hickory was arrested Thursday (March 16) by Hickory Police Officers. He’s charged with felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of schedule IV controlled substance, and failure to appear on a count of second-degree trespass.

Lackey was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $3,000 bond. District Court dates were scheduled for today (March 17) and March 27.
