HICKORY, N.C. (WHKY) – 31-year-old Leonardo Roel Zavala-Adame of 36th Street Place Northeast in Hickory, has been charged with felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance.

According to Catawba County court records, Zavala-Adame was charged by the Hickory Police Department Sunday (September 20). He also faces a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

His bond on the felony drug charge was set at $5,000 secured. Zavala-Adame was scheduled to make a Monday (September 21) District Court appearance.

Court records also show a separate nonsupport of a child charge filed by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office. That case is scheduled for court September 24.
