41-year-old Shan Laprie Hopper of 3rd Street Drive SE in Hickory was arrested Thursday (March 24) by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver schedule II controlled substance. In addition, Hopper is charged with two misdemeanor counts of resisting a public officer and single misdemeanor counts of assault inflicting serious injury, possession of drug paraphernalia, and injury to personal property. Hopper was confined in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $10,000 bond. A District Court date was scheduled today (March 25).
