A Hickory man has been arrested on multiple charges following an investigation by the Hickory Police Department. According to arrest records, 20-year-old Jonathan Rojo-Cadena of 20th Avenue Drive Northeast, Hickory was arrested on July 11.

Rojo-Cadena was charged with assault by strangulation, assault with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment, interfering with emergency communication, and misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.

Rojo-Cadena was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under no bond. He had a District Court date scheduled for July 13. No additional details about the incident were immediately released by the Hickory Police Department.
