45-year-old James Fletcher Smith, Jr. of 3rd Avenue Place SE in Hickory was arrested Monday (March 6) by Conover Police Officers. He’s charged with three felony counts of possession of schedule II controlled substance along with single misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting a public officer, and larceny. Smith was incarcerated in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $10,000 bond. A District Court appearance was scheduled today (March 7).
