26-year-old Alexander Day-Quan Carpenter of 20th Avenue Drive NE in Hickory was arrested last Saturday (June 26) by Hickory Police Officers. He’s charged with felony first degree kidnapping along with one misdemeanor count of assault on a female and two misdemeanor counts of probation violation.
On May 26 of this year, Hickory Police responded to an address on 20th Avenue Drive NE in reference to a domestic incident. While at the scene, police obtained information that led to Carpenter’s arrest. He was taken into custody Saturday at an address on Highland Avenue NE in Hickory.
Carpenter was confined in the Catawba County Detention Facility where he remained as of earlier today (June 29) under $37,500 bond. District Court dates are set for July 6, July 12, and July 19.
