Hickory Man Arrested on Fugitive Warrant from Ohio

31-year-old Eric Ray Seitz of 18th Street S.W. in Hickory was arrested by Long View Police Friday (November 19) on a felony warrant as a fugitive awaiting extradition to another state. He was also charged with a misdemeanor domestic violence protective order violation. Seitz is wanted in Lorain County, Ohio, for contempt of court, felony assault, possession of drugs, and domestic violence.

Seitz was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility without bond on the fugitive warrant. Bond on the protective order violation was set at $2,000. He remained in jail as of this afternoon (November 22). An appearance in District Court was set for November 29 in Newton.
