Hickory Man Arrested for Fourth Time on Fugitive Warrant

40-year-old Roger Junior Ussery of 14th Avenue S.E. in Hickory has again been arrested by Hickory Police on a felony warrant as a fugitive awaiting extradition to another state.

Ussery is wanted by the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office in Appling, Georgia (near Augusta) for felony larceny. He was previously arrested by Hickory Police on fugitive warrants from Georgia on December 29, 2020, and on February 10, March 9, and May 15 of this year, as previously reported by WHKY.

Following his most recent arrest on Saturday (June 4), Ussery was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility, initially without bond. He is no longer listed as an inmate in Catawba County. A District Court appearance was scheduled Monday (June 7) in Newton with his next court date coming up on July 12.
