33-year-old Jorge Guerrero, Jr. of 23rd Avenue Court N.E. in Hickory was arrested by Hickory Police early Saturday morning (August 1) on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of possession of a stolen motor vehicle. He was initially arrested on December 21 of last year in connection to an incident on December 14. The Catawba Co. Sheriff’s Office also charged Guerrero with non-support of a child.
Guerrero was taken into custody without incident at about 12:15 a.m. Saturday on the 100 block of 18th Street S.W. in Hickory. He was placed in the Catawba Co. Detention Facility under a $5,000 secured bond, plus a $1,000 bond on the non-support charge. A first appearance in District Court was scheduled today (August 3) in Newton with another court date on the non-support charge coming up on August 6.
