Hickory Food Hall Coming to Vacant Downtown Hickory Bank Building
A local family has announced its intentions to convert the old First National Bank of Catawba building in downtown Hickory into the Hickory Food Hall. The building is located at 39 2nd Street N.W. in Hickory.
Lynn Nguyen is the retired proprietor of the Nagano Japanese Restaurant, which her daughter Thao now operates. According to the Hickory Food Hall’s website, Lynn Nguyen’s daughter, Annie, and her son-in-law, Tony, are the founders of the new business. They are also the founders of Waterbean Coffee and currently own two specialty coffee shops in Hickory.
The new space is intended to be a place where people can come together to dine, socialize, and work; uniting local artists, restaurant owners, and retailers.
