The Hickory Crawdads swept the South Atlantic League Minor League Baseball weekly awards. Earning player of the week honors was Abimelec Ortiz. Taking home the league’s pitcher of the week award was Josh Stephen.

Ortiz kept his 15 game hitting streak going to win his 2nd South Atlantic League Player of the Week in as many weeks. For the week, Ortiz hit for a .438 average, with 7 hits, 6 runs, 18 total bases, three home runs, 7 RBI and an on-base percentage of .571.
