Hickory Crawdads Shut Out Against Bowling Green

The Hickory Crawdads fell to the Bowling Green Hot Rods, 7-0 Friday night, dropping their fifth straight game against the Hot Rods dating back to the last series and four straight overall.

Hickory could only manage four hits in the contest, and were walked five times. Chris Seise was the first Crawdad to hit a single in the fourth inning. Aaron Zavala and Luisangel Acuna singled on back to back at bats in the fifth inning, but a double play ended the rally. The Crawdads last single came in the sixth inning by Thomas Saggese.

The loss drops the Crawdads to 5-8 on the second half of the season, 43-36 overall. Hickory wraps up the series with games Saturday and Sunday in Kentucky.
