The game was suspended at that point with Hickory batting in the top of the third, no one on base, and no outs. The two teams will resume that game Thursday and play the regular scheduled contest thereafter. The game was delayed for 32 minutes before the decision was made to suspended the contest.
Franiyer Chavez and Daniel Mateo had the two hits for the Crawdads, and both scored, along with Cooper Johnson who had been walked. Larson Kindreich was the starter for Hickory, but lasted only a third of an inning, allowing two hits, three runs and walking three while striking out one.
