Hickory Crawdads Fall Big to BlueClaws
Homeruns sunk the Hickory Crawdads on Saturday evening as they fell 13-1 to the Jersey Shore BlueClaws.
The BlueClaws scored a run in the top of the first off Crawdads starting pitcher Winston Santos.
The ‘Dads rallied to tie the game in the bottom half of the inning. Keyber Rodriguez walked and advanced to third on a double by Alejandro Osuna. Cody Freeman hit a deep fly ball to right field that allowed Rodriguez to tag up and score to even the game at 1.
Jersey Shore retook the lead with a run in the top of the second. They added on six homeruns to take a 13-1 lead. The Crawdads were unable to get many runs across.
