Hickory Crawdads Drop Third Straight to Bowling Green

The Hickory Crawdads fell to the Bowling Green Hot Rods on the road Thursday night, 4-3. The Hot Rods had a two run home run in the bottom of the first inning and another two run homer in the bottom of the fourth for all of the scoring.

Hickory got their first score of the night in the top of the second inning. Miguel Aparicio took the first pitch of the inning and sent it to the right center field wall for his first home run of the season.

Hickory added a pair of runs in the seventh. After the Hot Rods started with a new pitcher on the mound, Cristian Inoa singled. A passed ball moved him into scoring position. Chris Seise was then walked. Frainyer Chavez singled, loading the bases. Angel Aponte hit a sacrifice fly, allowing Inoa to score and Seise to move to third while providing the first out of the inning. Keyber Rodriguez then ground into a force out, but it would allow Seise to score.

Inoa had a pair of hits and the run scored.

Hickory is 5-7 on the second half of the season, 43-35 overall. Hickory stays on the road taking on Bowling Green through Sunday.
