The Hickory Crawdads announce their 2022 game schedule. The ‘Dads will host Opening Night at the Frans on Tuesday, April 12th.
The season will begin on the road against the Winston-Salem Dash on Friday, April 8th. The Crawdads will play three games in Winston-Salem and have an off day on Monday before kicking off the home season on April 12th against the Bowling Green Hot Rods.
The annual Independence Day Extravaganza will take place on Sunday, July 3rd against the Greensboro Grasshoppers. The team will also be home for Memorial Day Weekend. The regular season will wrap up at home on Sunday, September 11th.
The ‘Dads will play 132 games next season, 66 on the road and 66 at LP Frans Stadium. The Crawdads will hit the road for twelve series and will host eleven series, two of which will fall in back-to-back weeks. All of the Crawdads home series will begin on a Tuesday and will run through Sunday. The league-wide Monday off schedule returns in 2022, with exceptions for holidays. The High-A East League will also have a midseason break from Monday, July 18th through Thursday, July 21st.
The Crawdads will travel to Hudson Valley (NY) and Wilmington (DE) for their first ever matchups against the Renegades and the Blue Rocks. Wilmington will also make their debut at LP Frans Stadium as the Blue Rocks come to town in June.
In total the Crawdads will travel 5,586 miles between stadiums. In comparison, the team traveled 3,428 miles in 2021 (60 game schedule) and 9,728 miles in 2019 (70 game schedule).
Full and half season tickets are currently on sale for the 2022 season. Ticket books are also on sale and fans can purchase a limited time deal of 15 undated vouchers for $75, which is half off the day of game pricing.
