Hickory City Council Meets, Approves Redistricting Option

Hickory City Council met in regular session Tuesday night (October 20). Minutes, second readings, and the consent agenda were all approved. A public hearing was held regarding the proposed redistricting plans. Option C was passed by a 6 to 1 vote.

A public hearing was held for a contiguous annexation of 1.99 acres, located at 2185 13th Avenue Drive SE. The annexation was unanimously approved. A departmental report was presented by Community Development Manager Karen Dickerson and approved by City Council about a partnership agreement with JRN Development to construct affordable housing on City-owned property.
