Hickory City Council met in regular session Tuesday (July 18). Minutes, second readings, and the consent agenda were all approved. Public Works Director Steve Miller presented the consideration of closing a portion of Southgate Corporate Parkway SW. A public hearing was held and the item was unanimously passed by Council.

Planning Director Brian Frazier presented the consideration of Rezoning Text Amendment 23-01 to Hickory Land Development Code, Article 4, Section 4.6 Airport Overlay. Following a public hearing, the item was unanimously passed by Council.

Also during Tuesday’s meeting, members were appointed to boards and commissions. City Council also scheduled the second meeting in August for 6 p.m.
