Hickory City Council met in regular session Tuesday (May 2). Minutes, second readings, and the consent agenda were all approved.

A joint Economic Development Agreement with Merchants Distributors, LLC and MDI Management, LLC, presented by Business Services Manager Dave Leonetti, was unanimously approved by council. The Business Services manager also presented the Community Development Block Grant 2023-2024 Annual Action Plan. It was also unanimously approved.

Also at last night’s Hickory City Council meeting, a partnership with Catawba Riverkeeper for installation and maintenance of a Stream Trash Trap at Glenn Hilton Park for litter abatement was presented by Public Works Director Steve Miller.
