Hickory City Council met in regular session Tuesday (February 16). The meeting ran less than a half-hour. The minutes, second readings, and the consent agenda were all approved unanimously.
Following a public hearing, City Council approved amending Chapter 6, Section 6-3 of the Hickory Code of Ordinances. This pertains to fire limits that impose certain requirements on building construction in the designated downtown area.
Kim Lyke Holden, the executive director of Catawba County Partnership for Children, shared an update on Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and other early childhood education programs.
