Iredell County Man Charged With Four Counts Of Domestic Violence Protective Order Violation
IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. (WHKY) — A Iredell County man is facing multiple charges after authorities say he repeatedly violated a Domestic Violence Protective Order.
According to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded June 30 to a residence in the 400 block of North Meadow Road after receiving a report that a 45-year-old man had contacted a protected party in violation of an active court order.
Investigators say deputies obtained search warrants for social media messaging and other electronic communications. Authorities allege the evidence showed multiple violations of the protective order.
Following the investigation, deputies presented the case to a magistrate, who issued warrants charging 45-year-old Steven Allan Brown of Harmony, with four counts of Misdemeanor Domestic Violence Protective Order Violation.
Brown was arrested on July 28 and appeared before a magistrate, who ordered that he be held without bond on the charges.
The investigation remains ongoing.
