Granite Falls Woman Charged With Meth Trafficking In Catawba County (Updated with additional information, 1:30 p.m., 1/6/22)

30-year-old Summer Lea Hatcher of Grace View Place in Granite Falls was arrested Wednesday (January 5) by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers. She’s charged with two counts of trafficking in methamphetamine along with single counts of conspire to traffic meth, maintaining a vehicle, dwelling, or place to keep controlled substance, and driving while license revoked.

On Wednesday, investigators with the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling Highway 321 near Startown Road. During this stop investigators say they discovered the driver of the vehicle, Summer Lea Hatcher, in possession of over 16 ounces of methamphetamine and approximately $1,300 in United States currency.

Hatcher was incarcerated in the Catawba County Detention Facility this morning (January 6) under $350,000 bond. A District Court appearance is scheduled Friday (January 7).
