42-year-old Elijah Carew Carter of Blue Dove Lane in Granite Falls was arrested Monday (February 13) by Probation and Parole Officers. He was charged with one felony count probation violation. Carter remains in jail as of this morning with a $100,000 secured bond and a Superior Court date scheduled for February 15. He was on probation as a result of a conviction in Caldwell County in August 2019 for felony counts of possession with intent to sell schedule two controlled substance and possession of schedule two controlled substance. Carter received probation and a 36-month suspended sentence.
