35-year-old James William Carrigan of Granite Falls was arrested Sunday (February 7) by Alexander County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with felony attempted first-degree burglary, along with one misdemeanor count of assault by pointing a gun and five misdemeanor counts of communicating threats.

The charges reportedly stem from a domestic incident. Carrigan was arrested Sunday morning then later released under $10,000 secured bond. A District Court appearance is scheduled for February 27.
