Granite Falls, Asheville Residents Charged In Caldwell County Drug Case

46-year-old Donald Shawn Bridges of Turner Road in Granite Falls and 45-year-old Dion Lamont Lowman of Asheville were arrested Tuesday (September 28) by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Officers. They’re each charged with felony trafficking in methamphetamine by possession. Bridges is additionally charged with felony maintaining a vehicle, dwelling, or place to keep controlled substance. Lowman was also served with four outstanding orders for arrest from Buncombe and Henderson Counties.

On Tuesday (September 28), the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office ICE Unit responded to a residence allegedly used for selling methamphetamine. Officers searched the Turner Road residence and reportedly found approximately 163 grams of meth, which has a street value of $24,450. The suspects, Bridges and Lowman, were taken into custody without incident.

If convicted, both suspects face mandatory prison time. Bridges was released on $25,000 secured bond. Lowman remained in the Caldwell County Detention Center as of earlier today (September 29) under $148,000 secured bond. Both suspects were scheduled to appear in District Court in Lenoir today.
