Golf Tournament Scheduled To Benefit Domestic Violence Victims

A charity golf tournament is scheduled for Friday, May 20 to assist in the prevention of domestic violence. The Lincoln County Coalition Against Domestic Violence (LCCADV) is sponsoring the tournament, which will be held at Lincoln Country Club. The tournament starts at 9 a.m. and check in begins at 8:00.

The tournament is being held to assist in providing vital funding for LCCADV’s mission of serving victims of domestic violence. There will be food and drinks as well as prizes including rounds of golf and gift certificates.

One of LCCADV’s projects is the construction of a new shelter for domestic violence victims known as “Amy’s House.” The new shelter and services facility will be about four times the size of the current space and will consolidate shelter, offices, storage and other activities into one campus, which will not only enable improved and integrated services for survivors, it will reduce on-going operating costs forever. It is expected that this will be completed in the Spring of 2023.
