Georgia Man Arrested on Fugitive Warrant
26-year-old Jordan Micah McLain of Chickamauga, Georgia was arrested by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers yesterday (October 10) on a felony warrant as a fugitive awaiting extradition to another state. McLain is wanted in Hall County, Georgia for felony child molestation and a probation violation.
The Georgia arrest warrant states that McLain changed his residence without prior permission from his Probation Officer. His probation is the result of prior charges for aggravated assault and cruelty to children. The documents state that McLain has “violent tendencies.”
Following his arrest, McLain was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility where he is being held without bond. A first appearance in District Court was scheduled today in Newton.
