40-year-old Aungelo Rickevius Sims of Gastonia was arrested Saturday (September 2) by Hickory Police Officers. He’s charged in Catawba County with felony counts of breaking & entering, larceny of a motor vehicle, and flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle along with a misdemeanor count of resisting a public officer. Sims is also charged in Gaston County with two felony counts of break or enter a motor vehicle, one felony count of larceny, and two misdemeanor counts of first-degree trespassing.

Sims was incarcerated in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $325,000 bond. He remained in jail as of earlier today (September 5). A District Court appearance was scheduled in Catawba County today, a Gaston County District Court date is set for Thursday (September 7).
