Frye Regional Medical Center has named Lindy White as its chief operating officer (C.O.O.). Her hire was effective in late January of this year.

Ms. White has assumed operational oversight for the financial performance, strategic planning, and day-to-day operations of several hospital departments. In addition to providing guidance to various department directors, White will advise the executive leadership team at Frye on matters relating to health care policy, planning, and personnel. She began at Frye Regional as interim C.O.O. in November of last year.

Ms. White has three decades of healthcare finance and executive leadership experience. She began her career as a staff accountant in Marion, Virginia, where she was promoted to chief financial officer and later to C.E.O. Over the course of her career, White has served as C.F.O. and C.E.O. of hospitals in multiple health systems.

Ms. White earned her master’s in business administration from Old Dominion University, and she earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting & economics from Emory & Henry College.
