Four Arrested in Connection with 2008 Murder in Long View
Four people have been arrested in connection with the 2008 murder of Eddie Greene, who was 26 at the time of his death. On October 3, 2008, Mr. Greene was shot and killed in his work van, which was parked beside a street in Long View. At the time of the murder, Police described the incident as a “robbery gone wrong.” Mr. Greene was from Granite Falls and owned a masonry business.
Long View Police have confirmed that two of the suspects are 33-year-old Jamar Quarmaine Propst of Section House Road and 33-year-old Pieree Demond Ramseur of 10th Avenue S.W., both from Hickory. The identity of the other two suspects has not been released to the public. All four suspects have reportedly been indicted on charges of murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Propst and Ramseur were jailed today (September 21) in the Catawba County Detention Facility where they are both being held without bond. Appearances in Superior Court are coming up tomorrow in Newton.
