Four Arrested by H.P.D. on Firearms Charges
25-year-old Darren Ki Sean Izard of 4th Street Court S.W., 41-year-old Phalen Devon Izard of 5th Street Court S.E., 29-year-old Rayford Courdel Dukes of 20th Street N.E., and 20-year-old Quayvion Damarea Caldwell of 9th Avenue S.E., all from Hickory, have been arrested by Hickory Police on a number of firearms charges. Darren Izard was charged with three counts of discharging a weapon into occupied property and one count each of discharging a firearm in the city and disorderly conduct in a public building. Phalen Izard faces two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon and one count each of possession of a stolen firearm and discharging a firearm in the city. Dukes was arrested on one count each of possession of a stolen firearm, going armed to the terror of the people, and discharging a firearm in the city. Caldwell was charged with three counts of discharging a weapon into occupied property and one count each of going armed to the terror of the people, discharging a firearm in the city, possession of a stolen firearm, and simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance.
Darren Izard was locked up today (October 23) in the Catawba County Detention Facility. The other suspects were all placed in jail yesterday. Both of the Izards and Caldwell are being held without bond. Bond for Dukes was set at $60,000. All four suspects were scheduled to appear in District Court today in Newton.
