Florida Man Arrested in Lincoln County of 42 Outstanding Warrants
27-year-old Darian Akia Martin of Lauderhill, Florida has been arrested by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Officers on a long list of outstanding warrants for obtaining property by false pretenses, conspiracy, breaking & entering motor vehicles, larceny, and financial transaction card theft. The warrants were from Brunswick, Wake, and Durham counties.
Martin was arrested yesterday (July 2) when a Deputy traveling on Highway 321 South saw a Toyota Tacoma making abrupt lane changes in front of following traffic. After several instances, the truck cut off an S.U.V. traveling south in the left lane. The Deputy activated her patrol car’s emergency lights and siren and initiated a traffic stop.
The driver of the truck was identified as Darian Akia Martin. A license check showed numerous outstanding warrants that had been entered into the National Crime Information Center database.
Martin was taken before a Magistrate and served with 42 outstanding warrants. Bond for Martin was set at $402,000 secured. According to a press release from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, a first appearance in District Court is listed in Wake County on July 4. Martin is currently being held in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center in Lincoln County.
